Two gigs, two setups, two venues, one night. This was the situation we faced on the 25th of September. On stage at ‘The Eagle at Barrow’ for Ribble Valley Netball Club at 10pm for an hour followed by our rounding off ‘The Gail Simpson Memorial Dinner’ at Burnley Football Club at 12 midnight. Amazingly (and mostly down to what came close to military planning) everything went off without a hitch and both performances were a roaring success. We won’t be making a habit of trying to squeeze two performances in one night however! An article in the Lancashire Telegraph regarding the success of the night can be found here.
We had a blast headlining MasonFest at Darwen Library Theatre and it was great to see so many of the crowd get out of their seats, to come down to the front of the auditorium and start dancing!
We’re now preparing for the ‘Gail Simpson Memorial Dinner’ that will be held at Burnley Football Club on the 25th of September. It promises to be a fun-filled night with comedian Phil Walker, ex-Burnley Football club manager Stan Ternant in a “Q&A” with BBC Radio 5 presenter Tony Livesey and, of course, ourselves! Tickets for the event can be purchased here

“An invigorating fusion of brass, melodies and disco pop, these funk soul brothers and sisters from Darwen are kicking up a mighty storm on the live circuit.” – Lancashire Telegraph
We were recently hunted down by a savvy journalist who plied us with questions about our music, ourselves and what makes us tick. If you wish to view the article, it can be found here.
We are pleased to announce that we will be returning to Darwen Library Theatre to headline a charity gig for Darwen man Mason Ralph. He suffered a near fatal accident in Greece and his insurance refused to cover the cost of his medical bills. All ticket proceeds are therefore going in support of this cause and we hope to see you there. Tickets can be purchased here.
The authorities have finally allowed us our own Instagram page! This means you can keep an eye on what we’re up to. Trust us, it’ll be worth your while. Find us at TheSoulConvicts.
Alternatively you can keep up to date with gigs and announcements by following us on Twitter (@TheSoulConvicts) or on Facebook as ‘The Soul Convicts’.
We had a great time performing at Turf Moor (Burnley Football Club) in support of Burnley Vs Cancer and their 1920’s ‘speak-easy’ themed fundraiser!
Our good friend Derren was on hand once again to take some amazing pictures of the night which can be seen here.
